Family Bake Day

del monte life gets better family bake day

Spending time with the family is top priority. But with all the cooking and homemaking that needs to be done, it's challenging to find the time to just sit back and not to have to worry about what to cook for dinner and what time it will get on the table.

Cooking doesn't need to be all work and no play. It also doesn't need to be a solo activity. Get the family together one Saturday and bake up a storm! The great thing about holding a family bake day is while you're waiting for food to cook, you and the family can be playing a game like Scrabble right in the kitchen.

Here's a Family Bake Day Menu you can try!

Lunch
Start your bake day after breakfast is done. A free morning will give you and your family time to prep ingredients so you can just line up the dishes and then pop it in the oven. First dish of the day will be a lunch treat — Baked Spaghetti with Meat. Everyone can enjoy eating this delish dish while waiting for the rest of the food to cook.

Dinner
One-pot meals are great. There's less fuss preparing when all you have to do is throw everything into one cookware. Plus, clean-up is a snap with less dishes to scrub. With the hearty Meat and Potato Casserole recipe, meat and veggies are placed in one dish that goes from oven to table. For extra yumminess, sprinkle some grated cheese on top. The casserole will be licked clean it'll practically look washed!

Dessert
Dessert is also a one-pan wonder with Fruits for the Gods. These chewy, fruity bars are great with some cold whipped cream. It also keeps well so tonight's dessert is tomorrow's baon or snack.

The great thing about holding a bake day is that your oven doesn't need to shut on and off making your electricity consumption jump. Making the most of the heat means you skip pre-heating in any recipes. Plus, you can also put two meals like merienda and dinner in the oven at once. You don't just save on energy — you'll also save on time. That's time you can spend with the family instead of in front of the stove.
